Participant Requirements

Participants in the contests must register and maintain an account with SpeedLabs, Inc. (the “Company”) and accept the Terms of Use, which include and apply to these Rules. These Rules govern and control the contests offered by the Company and are considered part of the Terms of Use.

The Company offers skill-based prediction contests tied to real-world sporting events (the Contests”). Each Contest is designed so that the outcome is determined predominantly by the User's knowledge, judgment, attention, timing, strategy, and accumulated experience — not by chance. Participant success increases with practice, study, and skill development over time.

1Eligibility

  1. Geographic and Age Requirements
    1. The Contests are open exclusively to legal residents of the United States. Due to state regulations and/or pending applications, the Company does not operate in the States of Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, and Washington, as well as any outlying U.S. territories or possessions, and any other jurisdiction outside of the United States.
    2. Participants must be at least 18 years of age (or the minimum age in your state of residence, which may also be 19 or 21) at the time of entry. Participation is void where prohibited by law.
  2. Definition of Participant
    1. A person who participates in the Contests is a “Participant.”
  3. Compliance with Laws
    1. The Contests are subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial, territorial and local laws and regulations. It is the sole responsibility of a Participant to determine whether the Contest is legal and compliant with all regulations in the jurisdiction in which the Participant resides.
  4. Agreement to Rules
    1. By participating, each Participant agrees to comply with and be bound by:
      1. the Terms of Use, including without limitation, any ethical provisions as set forth in the Terms of Use;
      2. these Contest Rules; and
      3. the decisions of the Company which are binding and final.
  5. Prize Contingency
    1. Winning a prize is contingent upon meeting all requirements set out in these Contest Rules.
  6. Ineligibility of Certain Individuals
    1. Employees and former employees (less than 3 years since cessation of employment) of SpeedLabs, Inc., any of its respective affiliates, advertising agencies, or any other company or individual involved with the design, production, execution or distribution of the Contests and their immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children, whether the relationship is by birth, marriage or adoption) and household members (people who share the same residence at for least 3 months of the year) are not eligible to participate.

2Accounts, Deposits, Entry Fees.

  1. Accounts.
    1. To Participate, you must have an active Customer Account. If you do not have a Customer Account, you can create one free of charge by downloading our mobile application. To enter the Contests, a Participant must sign into their Customer Account.
    2. In the event of a dispute as to any registration of a Customer Account, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register the Customer Account will be deemed to be the Participant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned the email address by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address.
  2. Deposits; Enter to Win; Entry Fees.
    1. Contests may require an entry fee. Each Contest that has an entry fee will display the entry fee in US dollars. When you opt to participate in a Contest with an entry fee, you will need to pay the required entry fee. Then, follow the links and instructions provided for entry.
    2. Participants must deposit a minimum of $5 into their Account through our Payment Agent(s), through the link provided.
    3. No Bet or Wager. Entry fees, if any, are paid solely to obtain gameplay access to a Contest of skill. They are not a bet, wager, or stake on the outcome of any underlying sporting event.
    4. When you enter a Contest, your account is debited the applicable entry fee at the time of entry.
    5. Entry fees are set per Contest. The entry fee for every Contest is displayed on the Contest page before you enter. By confirming entry, you authorize the debit of the stated entry fee.
    6. Entries are final. Once you confirm entry into a Contest and your account is debited, your entry is final. You may not cancel or withdraw an entry, and entry fees are not refundable, except where a Contest is canceled by us or does not run (see Sections 9 and 10) or as otherwise expressly stated in these rules or required by law.
    1. A Contest locks at its scheduled start (when the underlying event or Contest slate begins). After lock, no new entries may be submitted.

3Contest and Prize Structures

  1. Contests are live, elimination-style prediction competitions tied to real-world sporting events. Users answer yes/no questions generated in real time based on live game conditions (e.g., momentum, score, clock, possession, player performance, and other contextual factors).
  2. The Company offers different Contest formats. Every Contest page discloses its format, entry fee, prize structure, and the number of paid positions before you enter.
    1. Guaranteed-prize contests: the total prize pool (or specified prizes) is fixed and paid out regardless of the number of entries.
    2. Entry-based contests: the prize pool is a function of the number of paid entries received. The pool and the payout to each position scale with participation.
  3. Contests vary in how many positions are paid (e.g. some pay a single winner (winner-take-all), some pay multiple positions) The number of paid positions and the amount or percentage paid to each is disclosed on the Contest page.
  4. We retain a service fee from the total entry fees collected. The applicable fee is disclosed on the Contest page and/or in the Terms of Service.
  5. No Guarantee of Winnings. Participation does not guarantee any prize. Outcomes depend on your decisions, the applicable Contest Rules, third-party data feeds, and real-world sporting events that are inherently uncertain.

4How Speed Survivor Works - Gameplay

  1. When the Contest begins, all entrants are presented with the same questions at the same time.
  2. Each question is a YES/NO question about what will happen in the live event within a defined window—for example: "Will [Player] throw a touchdown in the next 4 minutes?"
  3. You answer by selecting “YES” or “NO”. Answering correctly earns points; answering more quickly earns more points (see Section 6).
  4. Answering incorrectly costs you a life or eliminates you, depending on that Contest's settings (see Section 7).
  5. This continues through a series of questions until the Contest ends. Points are tallied and ranked on a live leaderboard.
  6. Final standings determine prize payouts.
  7. All entrants in a Contest receive identical questions under identical timing, so results reflect differences in participants' knowledge, judgment, and response speed.

5Scoring and Speed Points

  1. Each correctly answered question awards points. Points have two components:
    1. a base amount for answering correctly, and
    2. a speed bonus that is larger the faster you answer correctly.
  2. Answering more slowly reduces the speed bonus; an incorrect answer awards no points and carries the elimination or life consequence described in Section 7.
  3. The base amount, the size of the speed bonus, and how the speed bonus decreases with response time are set by us and may vary from Contest to Contest. The scoring values that apply to a given Contest are governed by that Contest's scoring rules and are subject to change. We reserve the right to adjust scoring values and formats across Contests at our discretion.
  4. Response times are measured server-side: the clock starts when our servers present a question and stops when our servers receive your answer. Device-reported timestamps are not used to award points. Because timing is measured on receipt, network conditions between your device and our servers may affect your recorded response time.
  5. Default Answers (Auto-Answer)
    1. Every entry always has a standing default answer in effect, so every question is always answered—either by your manual response or, if you do not respond in time, by your default. Your default is set to either YES to all questions or NO to all questions, and you may switch between YES and NO at any time during a Contest. The default cannot be turned off; it simply determines how any question you do not manually answer is recorded.
    2. A manual answer to a specific question overrides your default for that question. Because a default answer always applies when you do not respond, there is no way to "miss" a question—an unanswered question is recorded as your current default.
    3. Default answers are scored and enforced as follows:
      1. Scoring: a correct default answer earns base points only, with no speed bonus. Because a default answer is not a timed live response, it never earns the speed component of scoring.
      2. Elimination: an incorrect default answer counts as an incorrect answer and carries the same consequence as a manual incorrect answer—you lose a life or are eliminated according to the Contest's format (see Section 7).
  6. Question Resolution, Voiding, and Disputes
    1. How questions resolve. Each question asks whether a specified event will occur within a defined window (for example, "Will [Player] throw a touchdown in the next 4 minutes?").
      1. A question resolves YES only if the specified event actually occurs within the window.
      2. A question resolves NO when the window closes without the event occurring, or as soon as the event can no longer occur within the window—whichever happens first. In other words, both "did not happen" and "can no longer happen" resolve to NO.
      3. For example, if the question is whether a player will throw a touchdown in the next 4 minutes and the player leaves the game after 30 seconds, a touchdown by that player can no longer occur in the window, so the question resolves NO at that point. Entrants who answered No are correct and score accordingly; entrants who answered Yes are incorrect and take the applicable consequence. Such a question is not voided—it is resolved.
    2. Voiding (narrow cases only). A question is voided only where it genuinely cannot be objectively resolved—for example, the designated official source cannot determine the outcome, or a platform or data error prevents fair settlement. A voided question awards no points to anyone and carries no elimination or life consequence for any entrant.
  7. Ties. Where two or more entrants finish a paid position with the same total points, the tie is resolved as follows:
    1. Cumulative response speed — the tied entrant with the faster aggregate correct-answer response time across the Contest is ranked ahead.
    2. If entrants remain exactly tied after applying cumulative response speed, they evenly split the combined prize for the positions they occupy (for example, two entrants tied for 1st split the combined 1st- and 2nd-place prizes).

6Elimination and Lives

  1. Contests are configured in one of two survival formats, disclosed on the Contest page:
    1. Single-life (elimination): a single incorrect answer eliminates you from the Contest. Eliminated entrants stop accruing points once eliminated.
    2. Multi-life: you begin with a set number of lives. Each incorrect answer costs one life; you are eliminated when your lives are exhausted.
  2. An incorrect default answer (see Section 6) counts as an incorrect answer for elimination purposes, exactly as a manual incorrect answer does.
  3. All entrants—whether eliminated or still active at the Contest's end—are ranked on the final leaderboard by total points accumulated, regardless of how far into the Contest they progressed. Ties in total points are broken under Section 6(f).

7Determining the Winner.

  1. A live leaderboard ranks entrants by total points during the Contest. When the Contest ends, final standings are determined by total points accumulated. The entrants occupying the paid positions, as disclosed on the Contest page, win the corresponding prizes, subject to verification and these Contest Rules.
  2. Official Results & Settlement Sources.
    1. Each question is settled as YES or NO based on official statistics for the underlying event, as reflected in the designated official source we identify for that Contest or sport. We may change the designated official source at any time. Where the designated official source is unavailable, incomplete, or in conflict with official league results, we may settle questions using official league results or void the affected questions under Section 6(e).
    2. Settlement is based on results as of the time final scoring is tabulated for the Contest. Once winners are announced, results are not changed on account of later official adjustments by the league. However, we reserve the right to correct results to fix errors or irregularities in the data we receive or in our own calculations, and to reverse or adjust payments accordingly. You agree to cooperate with any such correction.
  3. Finality of Company Decisions.
    1. If a scoring or settlement error is discovered after results are posted, we may recalculate the affected Contest and adjust standings and payouts accordingly.
    2. The decisions of the Company regarding the administration and operation of the Contests, and the determination of winnings are final and binding.
  4. No substitution or transfer of a Prize is permitted.

8Contests That Do Not Fill; Cancellations

  1. If a Contest is canceled for any reason, all entries are refunded in full to the entrants' account balances.
  2. Whether an underfilled Contest is canceled or still runs depends on its type:
    1. Guaranteed-prize Contests. A guaranteed Contest that runs pays out its full advertised prize pool regardless of the number of entries received—we cover any shortfall between entry fees collected and the guaranteed pool (the "overlay"). We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to cancel a guaranteed Contest that has not attracted sufficient entries before it locks; if we do, the Contest does not run and all entries are refunded in full. We do not commit to a fixed minimum number of entries for guaranteed Contests.
    2. Entry-based Contests. Because the prize pool scales with entries, we may, in our sole discretion, run an entry-based Contest at a prize pool scaled to actual entries, resize it (adjust the pool and/or the number of paid positions), or cancel and refund it before it locks. We do not commit to a fixed minimum number of entries for entry-based contests. Where a Contest is canceled, all entries are refunded in full.

9Interrupted, Postponed, Suspended, or Shortened Events

  1. Because contests run alongside live events, event interruptions are handled as follows:
    1. Questions whose windows completed before an interruption are settled normally on the official data.
    2. Where an interruption makes a question's specified event impossible to occur within its window, the question resolves NO under Section 6(e) (not voided).
    3. A question is voided only where the interruption leaves the outcome genuinely undeterminable.
  2. If an event is postponed, suspended, or shortened such that a Contest can no longer be meaningfully completed, we may cancel the Contest and refund entry fees, or adjust the Contest, at our discretion, with notice to entrants.
  3. Event status (including postponement, suspension, and resumption) is determined by the designated official source.

10Verification and Confirmation of Potential Winners.

  1. Verification and Company Decisions. Potential winners are subject to verification by the Company using any method they choose. The decisions of the Company are final and binding in all matters related to the Contests. A Participant is not considered a winner of any prize, even if the online screen indicates otherwise, until the Participant’s eligibility and the potential winning play have been verified, compliance with these Contest Rules is confirmed, and the Participant has been notified that verification is complete. The Company will not accept screenshots or other purported evidence of winning as a substitute for its official validation process.
  2. Required Documentation for Prize Claim. A potential prize winner may be required to sign and return to the Company, an affidavit/declaration of eligibility, and liability/publicity release (except where prohibited) in order to claim Participant’s prize (if applicable).
  3. Prize Allocations/Approvals.
    1. Approval is contingent on the Participant completing all verifications to confirm eligibility and compliance with all Contest Rules and the Terms of Use of the Platform.
    2. Winners will see the Prize credited to your Account balance once approved.
  4. Forfeiture of Prize. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to properly execute and return any required affidavit/declaration of eligibility and liability/publicity release within thirty (30) days, fails to comply with these Contest Rules, or if the prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner will forfeit the prize.
  5. In the event that the awarding of any Prizes to winners of a Contest is challenged by any legal authority, Company reserves the right in its sole discretion to determine whether or not to award or adjust such Prizes.

11Withdrawals.

  1. Withdrawal Requests.
    1. Participants must request the release of their Prize and/or balance of their Accounts solely through the Platform (each, a “Withdrawal Request”).
    2. Participants who make a Withdrawal Request for funds held in a deactivated or suspended account should contact Customer Support by emailing support@speedlabs.dev.
    3. The minimum withdrawal which may be requested by a Participant shall be $10 (the “Withdrawal Minimum”), unless the account balance is below $10, at which point the Participant can withdraw whatever remains in their Account.
    4. You may only make one Withdrawal Request in any 24-hour period.
    5. Funds awarded through promotions must be played through before becoming eligible for withdrawal.
  2. Timing and Payouts.
    1. We process Withdrawal Requests in the order in which they are received. Our goal is to process your request as soon as practicable, typically within 5 business days of your Withdrawal Request.
    2. Participants can request any amount of Prizes to be redeemed over the Withdrawal Minimum, however we reserve the right to allocate Prizes in smaller increments over a number of days until all of the Prize has been allocated.
  3. Know-Your-Customer (KYC) Verification. Participants must successfully complete a Know-Your-Customer (KYC) verification process provided by the Company to validate eligibility before withdrawing funds from their Account. This process may include, but is not limited to, providing proof of a valid government-issued photo ID, a biometric facial scan, proof of address, and validation of a Social Security Number (SSN).
  4. Other Verifications.
    1. You agree that we are entitled to conduct any identification, credit and other verification checks that we may reasonably require and/or that are required of us under applicable laws and regulations or by relevant regulatory authorities.
    2. We may also conduct checks for Terms of Use compliance, including anti-fraud checks on playing and Services usage patterns and may request additional information before permitting a withdrawal.
    3. Until all required verification checks are completed to our satisfaction:
      1. any Withdrawal Request will remain pending; and
      2. we are entitled to restrict your Customer Account in any manner that we may reasonably deem appropriate, including by suspending or deactivating your Customer Account.
  5. We reserve the right to charge handling and/or payment processing fees for processing the Withdrawal Request.
  6. Withdrawal Methods.
    1. Your verified personal bank account will serve as your default Withdrawal Method. Inaccurate bank account information can cause delays with Withdrawal Requests. This this happens, funds will be returned to your Account balance and you will be able to create a new withdrawal request.
    2. Prepaid cards, credit cards, and Apple Pay are not eligible for withdrawals.
  7. Taxes.
    1. Participants are responsible for remittance of all applicable taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or redemption and should consult their accounting or tax experts for any assistance.
    2. We will carry out additional verification procedures for any cumulative or single redemption of Prizes exceeding a value of USD $599 or equivalent and reserve the right to carry out such additional verification procedures in the case of a request to redeem any lesser amount. Additional verification procedures may, for example, include requests for and examination of copies of your identification documentation (including photo identification) such as a passport and proof of your address such as a utility bill.
    3. We may require you to provide tax identification information (for example, a completed Form W-9) before processing certain withdrawals or prizes, and we may withhold payouts until it is provided. We will issue tax forms (for example, Form 1099) and report winnings to the extent required by applicable law.
    4. The Internal Revenue Service requires a completed 1099-MISC form from Participants who accumulate $600 or more in net winnings (NOT total payouts) for the calendar year (Jan 1 - Dec 31). Even if you didn’t withdraw your winnings, you will still be sent the tax form(s). Your tax obligation is triggered not when you withdraw the money, but when you have a realized gain or loss.
  8. Where any identification, credit or other verification check we require cannot be completed to our satisfaction because you have not provided any document we request from you in the form that we require within 30 days’ of the date the document was first requested, then we are under no obligation to continue with the verification check and may in our sole discretion deactivate your Customer Account.
  9. If we mistakenly credit your Customer Account from time to time with Prizes that do not belong to you, whether due to a technical error, human error or otherwise, the amount will remain property of the Company and will be deducted from your Customer Account. If you have been allocated a Prize that does not belong to you prior to us becoming aware of the error, the value of the mistakenly allocated Prize will (without prejudice to other remedies and actions that may be available at law) constitute a debt owed by you to us. In the event of an incorrect crediting, you are obliged to notify Customer Support by using the “Contact” link on the Platform or by emailing support@speedlabs.dev.
  10. It is the responsibility of the Participant to retain copies of transaction records and these Contest Rules as updated from time to time.

12Release

  1. By Participating, each Participant agrees to release and hold harmless the Company and its parent, subsidiary, and affiliated companies, the prize suppliers and any other organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the Contests, and all of their respective past and present officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, the Released Parties) from and against any and all claims, expenses, and liability, including but not limited to negligence and damages of any kind to persons and property, including but not limited to invasion of privacy (under appropriation, intrusion, public disclosure of private facts, false light in the public eye or other legal theory), defamation, slander, libel, violation of right of publicity, infringement of trademark, copyright or other intellectual property rights, property damage, or death or personal injury arising out of or relating to a Participant’s entry, creation of an entry or submission of an entry, participation in the Contests, acceptance or use or misuse of prizes (including any travel or activity related thereto) and/or the broadcast, and exploitation or use of entry.

13Publicity

  1. Except where prohibited, participation in the Contests constitutes each Participant’s consent to the Company’s and its agents’ use of Participant’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions and/or hometown and state/province/territory for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment, notice or consideration.
  2. Except where prohibited, participation in the Contests constitutes each Participant’s consent to the Company’s and its agents’ use of Participant’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions and/or hometown and state/province/territory for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment, notice or consideration.

14General Conditions

  1. Contests Modification
    1. The Company reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the Contests or these Contest Rules, or any part thereof, with immediate effect due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Such circumstances may include fraud, technical failures, or any other factor that impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contests, as determined solely by the Company.
  2. Disqualification of Participants
    1. The Company reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contests. This includes individuals who violate these Contest Rules or engage in unsportsmanlike or disruptive behavior.
  3. Consequences of Undermining the Contests
    1. Any deliberate attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contests may be considered a violation of criminal and civil law. In such cases, the Company reserves the right to seek damages from the responsible party to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce any provision of these Contest Rules does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  4. Notification of Changes
    1. In all other cases, the Company reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the Contests. Any notifications regarding such changes will be posted on the Platform at speedsurvivor.com/legal/contest-rules.
  5. Acceptance of Modified Terms
    1. In the event of modifications to the Contests, a Participant’s continued enrollment and/or participation in the Contests constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

15Disputes

  1. Sections 15 (Initial Dispute Resolution Procedure) and 16 (Binding Arbitration & Class Action Waiver Agreement) of the Terms of Use are incorporated herein by reference with the same force and effect as though fully set forth herein. By agreeing to these Contest Rules, you agree to be bound by the dispute resolution and arbitration provisions contained in Sections 15 and 16 of the Terms of Use.

16Other

  1. To ensure fairness and the integrity of the promotion to all Participants, the Company may post updates/communications on its Instagram page.
  2. Any Participant posting or seen to be posting comments on Company’s Instagram page or elsewhere during the promotion that are considered bullying, spiteful or upsetting to other Participants, players and fans of Company/Contests or directly aimed at the Company will have their comments removed and will be disqualified from the Contests. The Company reserves the right to alert Instagram to any such behavior.

17Participant’s Personal Information

  1. Information collected from Participants is subject to the Company’s Privacy Policy which is available at speedsurvivor.com/legal/privacy.

18Extended Meanings; Currency; Force Majeure

  1. Unless otherwise specified in these Contest Rules, words importing the singular include the plural and vice versa and words importing gender include all genders. All dollar amounts referred to in these Official Rules are in lawful money of the United States of America. Sponsor is not responsible for any damages caused by delay or failure to perform undertakings pursuant to these Official Rules when the delay or failure is due to weather, event cancellations, fires, strikes, floods, acts of God or the state’s enemies, lawful acts of public authorities, delays or defaults caused by common carriers, or other events that cannot reasonably be foreseen or provided against.
