Why availability varies
Skill contests are regulated state by state. Where a state does not permit contests of this kind, or has not settled the question, the app does not offer them there. The rule everywhere Speed Survivor runs is 18 and over, or 21 and over where a state requires it, and it is void where prohibited.
Games you are probably watching
Two teams play their home games in Maryland: the Baltimore Ravens and the Washington Commanders. Every Speed Survivor contest is tied to one live game, so when either is on, players in the states where Speed Survivor is available can play along; Maryland is not yet one of them.
