Underdog is known for two fantasy formats, pick em and best ball, and both are decided by player statistics you choose before the games. Speed Survivor is played during the game itself. This page compares how they work, not what they pay.
How Underdog works
Underdog is a daily fantasy operator, and its fantasy products come in two main formats. The first is pick em: you are shown projections for player stats and choose higher or lower on each, combine several picks into one entry, and the entry pays a fixed multiple set by Underdog if the picks hit. Every pick is locked before the player's game starts.
The second is best ball. You draft a roster once, against other drafters, and never set a lineup again: each week your highest-scoring players count automatically, and the season-long total decides the standings. It rewards the draft, then asks you to wait.
How Speed Survivor works
Speed Survivor is a survivor pool compressed into one live game. Twelve yes-or-no questions arrive during the game, one about every five minutes of game clock, generated from what is happening on the field. You score for being right and score more for being fast, cuts remove the bottom of the field at set points, and the entrants left standing at the final whistle split a prize pool funded by the entries. There are no projections to beat and no multipliers: your result depends on how you place against everyone else in the contest.
