What a contest is

In Speed Survivor, a contest is a single pool of entrants playing one NFL game. It has its own entry fee, its own prize pool, its own survival format, single-life or multi-life, and its own ladder of payout tiers. All of that is shown on the contest page before you enter, so you know what you are playing for and how you can be eliminated before the game starts.

Each contest is its own field with its own pool and its own payouts. Entering one contest does not enter you in any other, and what happens in one has no effect on the leaderboard of another.

An example

The contest on Patriots at Seahawks on September 9, 2026 had a $20 entry fee and drew 177 entries, which collected $3,540. It paid out $5,100, so Speed Labs added $1,560 on top of what the entries put in, and 75 entrants cashed. That is one contest: one game, one fee, one field, one payout ladder, settled the same night.

The life of a contest

A contest opens in the app ahead of the game, takes entries until it reaches lock at the scheduled start, runs its twelve live questions during the game, thins the field at its cuts, and settles once the questions resolve. The winners and payouts are final that night.

In Speed Survivor

The contest is the unit everything else is measured in. Points, lives and cuts all apply within one contest, and the prize pool you compete for is the one that contest's entrants funded, held by a third-party custodian. Entry starts at $20 and some contests are free to enter. How it works follows one contest from start to finish.
