Deposit limit

A cap you set on how much you can deposit in a period.

What a deposit limit is

A deposit limit is a cap you set on how much money you can add to your account over a period of time, such as a day, a week or a month. Once you reach the cap, further deposits are blocked until the period resets. You choose the number, and the platform enforces it, which turns a budget from a good intention into a rule.

Deposit limits are one of the core responsible play tools because they work before any money is spent. Rather than tracking losses after the fact, a limit decides in advance the most that can go in. Operators generally make it easy to lower a limit and slower to raise one, so that a decision to spend more is never made on impulse.

An example

A player sets a monthly deposit limit equal to what they would spend on a couple of nights out. In the first week they deposit part of it and enter a few contests. In the third week, after a close finish just outside the cash line, they want to enter several more. The remaining room under the limit is small, so they pick one contest instead of five, and the month ends where they planned it would.

In Speed Survivor

Speed Survivor's Responsible Play policy covers deposit limits, self-exclusion and where to get help outside the game; it is the place to read how a limit is set and changed. Paid entry starts at $20, and each contest shows its entry fee before you join, so it is straightforward to work out how many entries a given limit covers.

Spending is never required to play. No purchase or payment is necessary to enter, to build a run, or to win, and free contests are available weekly. Speed Survivor is 18+, or 21+ where required. How it works explains entries, the prize pool and the split.
