What a same game parlay is

A same game parlay is a parlay whose legs all come from a single game. A bettor might combine a team to win, the total to go over, and a quarterback to throw for more than a set number of yards, all in one ticket. As with any parlay, every leg has to hit for it to pay.

Because the legs come from one game, they are connected. A shootout makes both an over and a big passing day more likely at once, so books price same game parlays with those correlations built in rather than simply multiplying the legs together. They lean heavily on player props, and many books now allow them to be built during the game as part of their live betting markets.

An example

For a Monday night game, a fan builds a three-leg same game parlay: the home team to win, the total over 47.5, and the home running back over 69.5 rushing yards. The home team wins 31 to 20, the total lands at 51, and the running back finishes with 64 yards. Two legs hit, one misses by five yards, and the ticket loses.

How Speed Survivor is different

Speed Survivor is also built around one game, and that is where the resemblance ends. Nothing is assembled before kickoff. Twelve yes-or-no questions arrive during the game, one about every five minutes of game clock, and each is scored on its own: base points for being right, a speed bonus for being fast.
