Live betting
Wagering on a game while it is in progress, at odds that move with the action; also called in-game betting.

What live betting is
Live betting is placing wagers after a game has started. A sportsbook keeps posting markets during play, the moneyline, the spread, the total, player props, and updates the odds after every play, score and injury. Markets are suspended briefly while the ball is live or after a big moment, then reopen at new prices.
The appeal is reacting to what you see: a quarterback who looks sharp, a defense that is tiring, a kicker struggling in the wind. The catch is that the book is watching too, and its prices move at least as fast as any bettor. The fastest-settling end of live betting, wagers on the next play or drive, is called micro-betting.
An example
A pregame favorite at -7 falls behind by ten in the first quarter. The book's live line swings to the underdog -1.5 at -110. A bettor who thinks the favorite will recover takes them at +1.5 for $55 to win $50. The favorite rallies to win by six, so the live ticket cashes while anyone who took the favorite at -7 before kickoff lost.
