What Speed Survivor is

Speed Survivor is a live NFL prediction contest played on your phone while a real game is on. Each contest is tied to one game. Once it kicks off, every entrant gets the same twelve yes-or-no questions, one about every five minutes of game clock, generated from what is actually happening on the field. A correct answer scores points, a faster correct answer scores more, and cuts at set points remove the bottom of the field. The entrants still standing at the final whistle split the pot.

It is a skill-based contest operated by Speed Labs, Inc. There is no house: Speed Labs sets the question, never a price, and takes no position in any contest. You compete against the other entrants for a prize pool their entries funded.

An example

On Thursday, September 17, 2026, the Lions played the Bills. 118 people entered the Speed Survivor contest on that game at $20 each. Through the night they answered questions like whether the next drive would end in points, and the field thinned at the cut. When it settled the same night, the contest had paid out $3,400 to the top 40 finishers, and @DiscoHeck won with 2,263 points, three ahead of @Turk. The full numbers are on the recaps page.

Where the idea comes from

The format borrows from the survivor pool, where one wrong pick knocks you out and the last entrant standing takes the pot. Speed Survivor keeps that tension and compresses it from a season into a single game, with live questions in place of weekly picks.
