Live question

What a live question is

A live question is the thing you answer in Speed Survivor. It is a yes-or-no question about what happens next in the game you are watching, within a set window: the next play, the current drive, the next few minutes of clock. It is generated from live game conditions, the score, the clock, possession, momentum and player performance, so it could not have been written before the game and nobody can prepare an answer in advance.

Every entrant in a contest sees the same question at the same moment and answers under the same timer. That is what makes the result a comparison of judgment rather than of luck in timing.

An example

Say it is third and seven in the second quarter and the home team is driving. The question appears: "Does the next play gain a first down?" You have a short window to answer yes or no. If the offense converts and you said yes, you earn points, and more points the faster you committed. If you said no, you earn nothing for that question, and in a single-life contest your run ends there.

How it differs from a prop

A live question can look like a prop bet or a micro-bet, but nothing about it is priced. There are no odds and no line; a correct answer is worth the same base points to everyone who gives it, plus a speed bonus.

In Speed Survivor

There are twelve live questions per game, roughly one every five minutes of game clock, and each one is a round. Your score is built from them, and so is your survival. How it works shows where the questions fall across a full game.
